Permanency Support Program (PSP) Process Maps clarify how the PSP works.

They are designed to help practitioners across DCJ and funded service providers understand the PSP, and how to apply the program in the field.

The process maps:

  • provide a visual overview of the tasks and roles required to achieve permanency
  • show what actions are required at each stage of the permanency process and by whom
  • include data capture and activities in ChildStory

The maps are an aid to help understand the PSP. The process maps do not replace PSP policies or business rules, staff must also be familiar with those. The maps will be updated when needed to reflect changes in policy and/or business rules.

We recognise that some practices and processes may vary between districts, Community Services Centres and funded service providers, reflecting local realities and imperatives.
