The OOHC Transition Dashboard showed transition achievements against transition targets, as well as the month’s achievements and progress. It demonstrated the continued growth and development in the out-of-home care sector.

Transition of children and young people update

As at 30 November 2017, 58% of children and young people in statutory care are placed with an accredited non-government agency. A total of 8,186 children and young people have transitioned (cumulatively from March 2012) as at 30 November 2017, an increase of 46 children and young people compared to the previous month (8,140 as at 31 October 2017).

The out-of-home care population has decreased to 18,580, a decrease of 47 children and young people compared to the previous month (18,627 as at 31 October 2017). A total of 2,709 children and young people are on guardianship orders.
