Working in partnership
The OOHC transition is led by the Ministerial Advisory Group (MAG), with membership from government and non-government partners. The MAG reports to the Minister for Family & Community Services (FACS).
For information about the MAG's functions, read OOHC transition governance structure.
A Transition Program Office (TPO) has been established to support successful implementation. The TPO supports the MAG and Community Services regions through program management, monitoring, reporting, policy and procedure development and communication.
Both the MAG and TPO include representation from transition partners:
- FACS and its division Community Services
- Aboriginal Child, Family and Community Care State Secretariat – NSW (AbSec)
- Association of Children's Welfare Agencies (ACWA).
Transition partners Community Services, AbSec and ACWA are working together to ensure a successful transition that delivers a vibrant, sustainable out-of-home care sector that children, families and carers need.
