The NGO Learning Centre is a free website that provides accessible training and resources for non government organisation employees who work with children, young people, families and communities in NSW. The learning centre complements Change Together, which is a free practice learning program including eLearning and virtual workshops for eligible Family Preservation, Targeted Early Intervention, and Family Support and Connect practitioners.

Nurturing a learning environment and culture

Recognising that time and cost is always a concern in the sector, the NGO Learning Centre provides information and training in a way that not just supports organisation goals (low cost, higher productivity) and the learner’s development (self-paced and interactive), but also nurtures a learning environment and culture where knowledge is shared and collaboration is encouraged.

An online classroom

The Learning Centre's content has been designed to complement the face-to-face training currently delivered across the state, as well as provide alternative formats that support learning and professional development. These formats address the need for flexibility, accessibility and knowledge sharing.

The online classroom contains self-paced courses that are free, easy to use, and accessible.

Podcasts and vodcasts

A number of digital media recordings are being developed for the NGO Learning Centre, ranging from interviews, best practice stories, lectures and discussions. Podcasts can also be downloaded for learning on the go.

A resource shelf

A library of resources has been created based on relevant topics and courses. Resources include documents, videos and links to other relevant sites.

We invite you to explore the NGO Learning Centre, share it with others and become part of our community of practice.
