Broken Hill Adults and Families Homelessness and Housing Support Service

This service supports men and women aged over 25 years old, including families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including those escaping domestic and family violence.

This service is provided in Broken Hill and is also available as outreach or telephone contact for clients in the Unincorporated area, and in Menindee and Ivanhoe in the Central Darling Shire. Single men without children from Wilcannia can also access this service.

It provides early intervention and prevention, crisis and transitional accommodation and post-crisis support.

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal men, women and families. It also provides Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) to strength their after-hours responses to women in crisis.
