Women's Community Shelters

Women’s Community Shelters (WCS) is statewide service that provides a range of support to women and their children experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence.

WCS operates eight women’s refuges that support women in the Penrith, Northern Beaches, The Hills, Parramatta, Camden, Bayside, Ku-ring-gai and Mid-Coast local government areas.

It delivers crisis accommodation, provides short to medium term accommodation, case management support, assist to find safe affordable long-term housing, and provide post-crisis support. It also helps connect clients to other services, such as employment, education and trainings and community networks.

Women’s Community Shelters are accessible to Aboriginal women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
