Central Coast Homelessness Accommodation Service for Young Women
Central Coast Homelessness Accommodation Service for Young Women (operating as Coast Shelter) provides crisis accommodation and support to young women aged 16 to 25 years who are experiencing homelessness.
It provides crisis accommodation and support to young women who have high and complex needs, including young women experiencing trauma, leaving institutional care, and/or with drug and alcohol issues. Post-crisis support is also provided.
The service includes case management; general, personal and emotional support; advocacy; referrals to mainstream and specialist services (eg health, drug & alcohol, legal and court support); assistance to obtain long term housing and other basic supports.
The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal young women and young women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
