Central Coast Youth Homelessness Accommodation Service
Central Coast Youth Homelessness Accommodation Service, operating as Coast Shelter, provides crisis accommodation for young people ages 16 to 25 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
It provides supports to young people experiencing the effects of physical, mental and/or emotional trauma, young people leaving institutional care as well as young people with alcohol and drug issues.
The service includes case management; general, personal and emotional support; advocacy; referrals to mainstream and specialist services (eg health, drug & alcohol, legal and court support); assistance to obtain long term housing and other basic supports.
A key focus is supporting young people to engage with education, training and/or employment.
The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal young people and culturally and linguistically diverse persons.
This service provides support 24 hours, 7 days a week.
