Cooma and Region Homelessness Support Service

This service supports single men and women, families (including couple with or without children, single people with children, and other family groupings) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It also supports women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.

This service works with individuals and families to access early intervention support, information, referrals to targeted services, support in securing community and private tenancies, transitional accommodation, intensive support, post-crisis support, and holistic, planned crisis responses.

It provides support to adults and families whose tenancies are at risk, to sustain those tenancies, including assisted referrals to a range of other providers.

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal people and is accessible to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. It also provides Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) to strength their after-hours responses to women in crisis.
