Illawarra Youth Homelessness Connections

Illawarra Youth Homelessness Connections will assist young people aged under 25 who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness to sustain or obtain stable accommodation.

This service provides early intervention to prevent homelessness where possible as well as prevention through outreach to sustain existing tenancies. It also provides crisis and transitional support by providing access to accommodation and support services. Follow up support is also provided to help stabilise accommodation ad build the young person’s independent living skills.

A key focus of this service is to support young people’s access to education, training and employment services and in the development of independent living skills.

The service has a strong focus on Aboriginal young people and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
