Inner West Family Homelessness Support Service
This service provides support to women and children escaping domestic and family violence, single parents with children and couples with children who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
It delivers prevention and early intervention, supported crisis and transitional accommodation, rapid rehousing and intensive responses for people with complex needs. It also provides post-crisis support and follow-up to help prevent individuals and families who resolved their homelessness from becoming homeless again.
This service has a strong focus in supporting Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
This service provides Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) to strength their after-hours responses to women in crisis.
This service provides the following refuge and crisis accommodation for women with children:
- Elsie Women’s Refuge
- The Marian Centre
