Lake Macquarie Youth Homelessness Support Service
This service supports young people aged 24 years and under who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the Lake Macquarie area.
It provides client-centred homelessness support, including prevention and early intervention, rapid rehousing, crisis and transitional accommodation, and intensive responses for young people with complex needs and young people leaving care or other institutions.
A key focus of this service is to ensure young people will also be supported to access, maintain or re-enter education, training and/or employment.
This service includes an enhanced response for young people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, to enable access to crisis accommodation and support 24 hours, 7 days a week.
The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal young people and is accessible to young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
