Macarthur Multipurpose Homelessness Service for Young People
This service operating as Doorways for Youth, supports young people under the ages of 25 years old, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly areas, including young pregnant women, young couples and young women with children. Priorities include young people leaving out-of-home care or juvenile justice, victims of abuse, and those suffering mental health issues.
Responses provided by the service include prevention and early intervention, case management support, safe and supported crisis and transitional accommodation, rapid re-housing and intensive support for clients with complex needs.
The service has a strong focus on responses for young Aboriginal people and ensures services are accessible to young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including refugees.
