Northern Youth Project

This service Operating as Social Futures – Northern Youth, delivers support to young people aged 16 to 24 years who are experiencing homelessness and who are at risk of homelessness in Northern NSW. This also includes Aboriginal people, and families and young women aged 16 to 24 years and their children experiencing domestic and family violence.

It provides early intervention and prevention, referrals, crisis and transitional support; and post-crisis support and follow up. It also provides outreach support and assists those sleeping rough to access long term housing and wrap around support by engaging with other agencies and organisations. This is to ensure that diverse support is given to improve wellbeing such as drug and alcohol, gambling and mental health.

This service has a strong focus on support Aboriginal young people and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
