Northern Sydney District Homelessness Youth Services
This service, operating as Phoenix House Youth Accommodation, provides support for young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless and their families.
It covers the Local Government Areas of Hornsby, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney, Willoughby, Ku-ring-gai, Ryde and Northern Beaches.
It assists young people and their families through a holistic range of programs with independent living skills, including specialist case management, counselling, group work programs, education programs for young people with specific and challenging needs, and development of individual life and learning plans.
This service delivers inclusive services to assist young people experiencing homelessness (including, residing in overcrowded dwellings, couch surfing), have disengaged from education, have poor literacy and numeracy skills, have drug and alcohol misuse or mental health issues.
This service has a strong focus on supporting Aboriginal young people and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
