Queanbeyan Homelessness Support Service

This service supports single men and women ages 25 years old and over and families. It’s partner provider, Molonglo Support Services runs the Your Place Housing Support Service and assist people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or experiencing housing difficulties. It also supports those who are homelessness due to experiencing domestic and/or family violence.

It works with individuals and families to access early intervention support, information, referrals to targeted services, temporary accommodation, support to secure community and private tenancies, transitional accommodation, intensive support, and holistic, planned crisis responses. It provides support to adults and families whose tenancies are at risk, to sustain those tenancies.

Client will be supported by intensive case management to address the issues that have led them becoming homeless. Post-crisis support and follow-ups are provided to help prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless again. A key focus of this service is to assist people to access, maintain or re-enter education, training and/or employment.

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal people and is accessible to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
