South Eastern Sydney Homelessness Prevention Service

This service operating as Wesley Early Intervention South-East Sydney, supports young people, women, men, families in the South Eastern Sydney area.

It intervenes early to prevent homelessness and provide support to tenants at risk of homelessness by addressing the issues that are placing their tenancies at risk. It works with people residing in unsustainable and unsafe accommodation to assist them to finding suitable long-term accommodation. This service also supports clients who are experiencing overcrowding or are in insecure accommodation, as well as people who were formerly sleeping rough and private rental tenants who are in rental stress.

The service partners with first-to-know services to help identify people at risk of homelessness as early as possible, and provides flexible and practical assistance, post crisis support, case management, and brokerage.

This service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal people and is accessible to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
