Southern Youth and Family Services (SYFS) Illawarra Foyer

This service, operating as SYFS Illawarra Foyer, supports young people ages 16 to 26 years including young parents to obtain and sustain stable accommodation. It covers the Wollongong Local Government Area, and take referrals from Shellharbour and Kiama.

A key focus of this service is to support and facilitate young people’s access to education, training, and pre-employment services.

Other support includes supported transitional housing, outreach, assistance with employment, advocacy, information, and living skills, social skills & personal development assistance.

This service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
