St George Sutherland Youth Homelessness Support Service
This service operating as s Project Youth, supports young people with complex needs aged under 25 years old who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
Priority client groups will include young people experiencing family breakdown, unemployment, poverty, limited living and social skills, mental health issues, involvement with juvenile justice or at risk of being involved in criminal activity, leaving out-of-home care, involved in alcohol and other drug misuse and may include short term crisis accommodation for unaccompanied young people under the age of 16 years.
It delivers prevention and early intervention to prevent young people from falling into homelessness. It also provides case management, supported crisis accommodation, semi-supported accommodation, transitional accommodation, rapid rehousing, post crisis support and intensive responses for complex needs.
This service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal young people and is accessible to young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
