Moving Forward

This service supports women with accompanying children who are experiencing, escaping or have left domestic and family violence, and are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It covers the Local Government Areas of Bayside, Georges River and Sutherland Shire.

It provides a range of therapeutic and educational workshops for women affected by family and domestic violence. Specialist case management is also provided and is by appointment only. It also provides information and referral, post crisis, mentoring and after-hours support.

The service also supports Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) providers and agencies through collaborative case management by mentoring service providers and community staff, and provides information and support to generalist support workers.

This service has a strong focus in supporting Aboriginal women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
