Strengthening Aboriginal Tenancies Program - Aboriginal Homelessness Sector Growth Project

This service operating as Murra Mia, supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are at risk of homelessness. It provides tenancy advice and advocacy in the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla Shires.

It works with clients to sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness, as well as providing post-crisis support and to prevent a return to homelessness.

This service provides case management to ensure integrated support with multiple services is facilitated on behalf of the client. It also helps connect the client to other services such as primary health, social-emotional health, employment, education and training, cultural supports, legal, and other relevant community services and networks. It provides wrap-around support, conducts home visits and outreach. Other supports include advice and advocacy, as well as community education and awareness related to Aboriginal homelessness.
