Sydney District Young Parents Homelessness Service
This service, operating as LaunchPad Youth Community - Sydney Young Parents' Program, support young parents (under 25 years of age) and their children who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
It delivers prevention and early intervention, supported crisis and transitional accommodation while people experiencing homelessness are supported to secure long-term accommodation. It also provides rapid rehousing, and post-crisis support and follow-up, wraparound support, case management and intensive responses for complex needs.
This service has a strong focus on supporting young parents to develop their independent living skills, including engagement with education/training and employment. It has a strong focus on Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
