Sydney Homelessness Early Intervention Service

Sydney Homelessness Early Intervention Service supports young people, women, men and families whose tenancies have been identified at risk, experiencing overcrowding or are in insecure accommodation and private rental tenants who are identified as being in rental stress

It intervenes early to prevent homelessness and provide direct support to tenants at risk of homelessness by addressing the issues that are placing their tenancies at risk. It also works with people residing in unsustainable and unsafe accommodation to assist them in finding suitable long-term accommodation.

The service partners with first-to-know services to help identify people at risk of homelessness as early as possible, and provides flexible and practical assistance, outreach, case management, and brokerage.

It has a strong focus on Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
