Wentworth Homelessness and Housing Support Service

This service, operating as MASP Specialist Homelessness Service, supports men, women, families and young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with a strong focus on Aboriginal people. It covers the Wentworth and Balranald local government areas.

It supports people to access accommodation and support, including those escaping domestic and family violence, and leaving custody. It provides early intervention and prevention through outreach to sustain their tenancies, crisis and transitional accommodation and post-crisis. It assists people to obtain and/or maintain safe & stable housing and address their support needs.

The service has a strong focus on responses for Aboriginal young people, women, men, and families. It provides Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) to strength their after-hours responses to women in crisis.
