Western Murrumbidgee Network Homelessness Service

This service, operating as Linking Communities Network, supports women, men, young people and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The service supports clients through two components: co-ordination and brokerage, and homelessness support. It responds to a range of client groups, including women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, Aboriginal people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people who are chronically homeless or with complex needs.

It provides prevention and early intervention, rapid rehousing, crisis and transitional accommodation and outreach services. It provides emergency accommodation to women, with or without dependent children experiencing domestic and family violence. It also supports those existing custody, clients with mental health issues and/or alcohol and other drug issues.

The coordination and brokerage component coordinates an integrated service network for all target groups and locations across the Western Murrumbidgee Network service area. It provides flexible brokerage packages to enable appropriate case management and other support to clients.

This service includes an enhance response for young people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, to enable access to crisis accommodation and support 24 hours, 7 days a week.
