Appeals and Feedback
There are no appeals under the program.
If your organisation was unsuccessful and you would like feedback, you can contact the officer listed in your outcome letter or call the Social Housing Community Improvement Fund team on 1800 379 184.
Funding Requirements
Funding is conditional on providing a signed funding agreement to DCJ on or before 31 March 2018. Any requests for an extension will be considered by DCJ on a case by case basis.
Project variations
If you plan to vary the project as set out in the funding agreement (e.g. location, budget, funded activities) or your organisation details change (e.g. project contact, lead organisation) you must notify DCJ in writing immediately via SHCIF@DCJ.nsw.gov.au.
Project variations must be approved by DCJ prior to the revised project proceeding.
Progress Reporting
Your local district officer will contact you every three months to receive a report on project progress. You will be asked to provide updates on what work has started, when the project is likely to be completed and if there are any issues or risks that could impact delivery of project outcomes.
Completion and Acquittal Reporting
SHCIF Round 4 projects are required to be completed by 31 March 2019 irrespective of the time of execution of the funding agreement.
Recipients must advise their local DCJ officer or email SHCIF@DCJ.nsw.gov.au when their project is complete.
Please log onto SmartyGrants and fill in the Completion Report form. You are required to upload evidence of completion (e.g. invoices, photos, media articles) and demonstrate that the project has delivered the activities and outcomes as detailed in your funding agreement.
Completion and Acquittal Process
The Completion Report, together with attachments, must be submitted through SmartyGrants.
Log into in to SmartyGrants at https://socialhousing.smartygrants.com.au/:
- Select 'My Submissions'
- Click on SHCIF Round 4 – Completion Report and fill out the form
- Download, complete and sign the Acquittal Statement
- "If you require a copy of the Acquittal Statement please contact the SHCIF team on SHCIF@DCJ.nsw.gov.au or 1800 379 184.
- Once completed and all evidence is attached click the 'review & submit' button to lodge your submission. You will receive an automatic email message confirming your submission.
DCJ will contact you by email if further information is required and or to confirm closure of your project.
Any surplus funds remaining after project completion must be returned to DCJ.
