Eligibility for emergency temporary accommodation because of a natural disaster
An urgent need for emergency temporary accommodation may exist where a client cannot live in their home because it is uninhabitable due to natural disasters such as fires, floods, earthquakes or storms.
Clients in need of emergency temporary accommodation as a result of a natural disaster do not have to provide any documentation other than normal ID and are eligible by virtue of them stating that their home is uninhabitable because of a natural disaster.
