My Aged Care and assisted boarding house residents aged 65 years and over
If you are aged 65 years of age and over, you will not be eligible to access the NDIS. However residents of assisted boarding house who are aged 65 years and over may be eligible for service through My Aged Care.
My Aged Care is a national online and phone service that provides information about aged care services and services that are available.
There are different types of aged care services that are available and can be explained by the My Aged Care contact centre, the staff will ask questions to help understand the applicant’s needs.

Continuity of Support Programme - Specialist disability services for people aged 65 years
The NDIA has issued a Fact Sheet to explain that:
- If you are aged 65 years and over, and you currently receive disability supports, you will not be disadvantaged.
- You will continue to receive supports that achieve similar outcomes to those you currently receive.
