Set to Go is a collaboration between Link2Home and Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) that provides pre-booked accommodation to eligible CSNSW clients who are being released imminently from prison.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Set to Go program, the client must:

  • Have a confirmed release date within a maximum of 2 months
  • Have exhausted all other accommodation options and be at risk of homelessness upon release.

Who is not eligible?

  • Any person with a release date greater than 2 months.

Clients that are not eligible for the Set to Go program, can contact Link2Home for assistance on 1800 152 152 when they are released from prison.

How will it work?

The CSNSW officer will complete the Set to Go Referral Form. This must be completed with the client present. The form will then be forwarded to Link2Home.

Link2Home staff will assess and respond to the referral, providing details of accommodation within approximately 48 hours of receiving the referral.

The Set to Go Referral Form is an interactive form, with the whole process being completed online.

If you have any questions about a referral please contact link2home@facs.nsw.gov.au.

What type of assistance will be provided?

Link2Home will aim to find a suitable Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) provider so that additional supports can be put in place to support the client in their reintegration into the community.

Link2Home will only provide alternative temporary accommodation if there are no vacancies with an SHS provider. If a client is referred through Set to Go and does not accept a referral to an SHS provider without a valid reason, they may not be assisted with temporary accommodation.

What happens if additional assistance is required?

Following the initial temporary accommodation provided by Link2Home, the client is required to present at their local Department of Communities and Justice - Housing (DCJ Housing) office for a more detailed assessment of their circumstances.
