Key contract management roles and their responsibilities
This page describes the key roles and responsibilities for effectively managing DCJ human services contracts and delivering services for DCJ.
The importance of contract management roles
Note: Specific responsibilities are identified and explained in relevant human services contract management procedures.
Central to our contract management approach is managing and strengthening the relationships with service providers, and others involved in working with them.
This relies on understanding the contract management roles and responsibilities of staff in DCJ and external agencies.
It’s important to:
- take a holistic view of service providers, as they may have an existing relationship with DCJ and may provide services across multiple programs
- recognise that each service provider is different and requires tailored engagement to develop a strong relationship.
