Children in out-of-home care are known to be at greater risk of negative life outcomes, including physical and mental health, socio-emotional and behavioural problems and cognitive functioning. However, there are supports that can be put in place and decisions that can be made early in a child’s placement which can have a positive impact on developmental and permanency outcomes.

This webinar was chaired by Dr Jessica Stewart (Executive Director, FACSIAR). Researchers from the Pathways of Care Longitudinal Study (POCLS) presented their findings from four waves of the study over an eight year period from care entry.
